Actually, I started painting on my 40th birthday. My husband's gift that year to me was a Sumi-e class through community ed. Absolutely fell in love with Sumi-e painting, and I have been painting ever since! I like to put an American, contemporary twist to my Sumi-e paintings. I also LOVE photography.
