'Following a dark period of my life, when I lost my health and career, I suffered a subsequent breakdown. Art saved me! I needed a diversion and therapy. A dear friend, who is a potter, suggested a beginners art class, intriguingly called 'Learning to see again'. The teacher, Jan, was magical and within a lesson I was hooked. That was 12 years ago. I still attend a workshop with the mystical Jan, who has encouraged me to develop my own style'. Kay Gale
