Liminalconcept

The designs in this shop are based around the term "Liminal Space", which are transitional or transformational spaces. Spaces that are often associated with a sense of unease, they are often spaces caught between one point in time and space and the next. It could be a brief moment where a normally bustling and busy space is momentarily deserted, think of a deserted hospital corridor, an empty warehouse full of stock, or a public bar where the drinks are on the table but nobody is there. It could also be a longer transition where once busy or occupied places have been left abandoned. Think of a steam train left abandoned to rust as the station around it crumbles, a car abandoned in a derelict garage or the shack that still has the owners belongings in it, although it is now falling apart around them.
