Liminality: noun being on the threshold of or between two different existential planes I believe that family should be one of the most important aspects of a person’s life and that children really are our future. I try to live by these values. By day, I am a science and environmental education teacher and I love sharing the natural world with children. The rest of the time I like to spend my time outdoors running, hiking or gardening with my family, but since I live in Portland there are plenty of rainy days to explore my creative side. I spent this time knitting and exploring graphic design…which led to this Zazzel shop… This shop exists to help you celebrate all the important milestones in your family’s journey. Currently I am focusing on infancy and young children. My designs are inspired by a genuine belief that early education and exposure to nature are important to every child’s development. So you will find nature inspired designs, designs to teach children about the world many wonderful creatures, and designs to start your children on the path to reading… Soon I plan to branch out into other important events in a family’s journey. Coming soon will be designs for weddings, pregnancy, graduations, etc. Where will the profit from this shop go to? Me and my family’s dream is to own a farm and environmental education center some day…so we are saving to make that dream come true…and the this shop is helping move us in that direction one purchase at a time.
