I'm just a small town portrait photographer, who I started taking photos of things I make. Some would call them sculptures, or statues, or just my only friends. I guess this makes me a photographer, of the friends I’ve made. It makes me happy, which is what making friends does … it really matter, what my friends are? I began thinking about documenting the hallmark moments in life. Not the usual events (birthdays, weddings, Bar mitzvahs, excrete), photographers are usually hired for, but baby’s first exorcism. A young zombie’s first strained brains. That look a kid gets when he sees that, “yes, there are monsters living under their bed”. The exhilaration and trepidation of an alien probing, and the astonishment, when “SURPRISE, that sea torches and pitchforks, are here, JUST, for you”. I’d say, “your fears are unreasonable; Yet, Justified”. Sincerely, TPTTB.
