Picture This....

My name is Maileilani, but my friends call me Maile (like Miley). I am an amateur photographer. I am a native of Hawaii, but I currently set some roots down in Oklahoma (ahem...home of Flaming Lips, Hinder, The OU Sooners and all that good stuff). Why do I call my site "The Digital Apple"? Well, it's a representative of my work as a whole. I didn't have a lot of money to go to school and formally learn photography. I pretty much taught myself with the help of a lot of helpful nudges from some of the online communities that I am a part of. I really started catching on to this art form when I was practicing still life photography with an apple. That is why I thought it fitting to use it as part of my logo, if you will. Anyway, I love to experiment with photography and photoshop!
