Mayatan Bilingual School

Mayatan Bilingual School is a non-profit, independent Pre-K through 12th grade educational opportunity in Copán Ruinas, Honduras. Founded by local mothers in 1991, the school has grown to serve over 300 students from rural Western Honduras, 45% of whom receive scholarships. Mayatan is staffed by Honduran professionals and foreign volunteers who teach in English. It is supported by the Mayatan Foundation and affiliated with Hope for Tomorrow, Inc., a US 501c3.
