As a descendant of William McGillivary the Scottish Fur-trader who had twin Métis sons, who took over the leadership of the Northwest Company in 1804 and amalgamated with the Hudson Bay Company in 1821, I have taken the entrepreneurial path my fore-fathers set before me. I use the logos and armorial pictures that was applied & awarded to my ancestor for other McGillivray's to use for our proud heritage tho' they recognize the country born as rightful heirs to the chieftainship. I alone use them for our purpose.
