I began drawing from a young age - but often it was very controlled, and perfectionism and a desire to draw like others seemed to hinder, and at times stopped my drawing desire altogether. About a year ago I started doing drawing exercises that had no real purpose (like Zentangle) and soon after I discovered the beauty and meditative qualities of mandella-like and kaleidoscope designing. These designs are often drawn with little thought and there is a beauty in the automatic drawing.
