Maria Dong is an elementary school teacher in Phoenix, Arizona. She works on illustrations for children's literature, greeting cards, merchandise, and by request. The name "One Dozen Designs" originates from Carmen and Ramon Gomez, who raised 12 children -- six boys and six girls. The last being Maria. She has two children of her own, Alana and Stephan.
