The earliest thing I remember selling was watermelon on the side of the road (back in the 1960s). Then, I advanced to hot dogs at Ray Winder Field in Little Rock. In the fifth grade, I was picked to run the school supply store selling pencils, notebooks, erasers, etc. To be real, that was my way out of Spanish Class!
