概要

These photographs are created with a 4x5 camera with a Digital Scanning Back. The subject(s) are placed on a small, motorized table that gently rotates while the camera maintains an open shutter, gathering all the light it can on its long but 3 pixel wide sensor. As the object(s) spin on the table, the colors and textures visible to the thin sensor change drastically but smoothly, creating the photographs I have on display. After the image is created I dabble in Photoshop to adjust color curves in extremely minor ways, in order to emphasize certain aspects of the design in ways I find appealing. I do not add or remove any pixels - the images are entirely composed of what the camera was able to see from the precise perspective it was provided.
