Besarion Khidesheli is a 25-year old self-taught artist from Tbilisi, Georgia, currently based in Oakland, CA. He has been moving from place to place every two years since I was 15 years old. He spent his late teens and early adulthood in Georgia (the one in Europe), different parts of California, Mali, and Spain. The people that he has met throughout his journey inspire him the most. Besarion specializes in mixed-media art. His pieces can be described as dreamy, spacey, and psychedelic. The viewer can never be certain of what a given piece represents. Different angles evoke different emotions and interpretations, making his work quite introspective. As he has come to appreciate uncertainty in his life, he seeks to convey the same attitude through art. Besarion hopes to bring people closer to finding comfort in uncertainty in their lives.
