Rainbow Artist was established in 2000 when Marianne Dawkins made the brash decision to return to school and earn her Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering. Treading water in the maelstrom of advanced mathematics, non-linear control systems, and University egos, this gentle soul found peace in the arts. Years after finishing her degrees, she is still painting at the intersection of art and science.
