The Safe Space Project

Safe space is a term for an area or forum where either a marginalised group are not supposed to face standard mainstream stereotypes and marginalisation, or in which a shared political or social viewpoint is required to participate in the space. We as people that have been marginalised for being lesbian, gay, trans, queer, intersex, gender diverse or of color decided that we wanted to make safe spaces more visible, so individuals know they are in a safe space and can feel free to express themselves.
