I am an artist who suffers from schizophrenia. I am open about this because I want to fight the stigma attached to mental illness and I believe that my artwork is a good way to participate. Being creative has been powerful therapy for me and has given me an identity beyond my illness. I grew up in New York City and studied art at Barnard College, Columbia University, The National Academy of Design, The Brooklyn Museum, The International Center For Photography and The Arts Students League.
