Snowflowers

Snowflakes and flowers are miniature wonders of nature. I have wanted to photograph snowflakes for many years, but I could not afford the expensive gear required. Then, I learned from a blog of a Russian photographer how to take macro photos using inexpensive photographic gear and these are my results. It still takes a lot of patience and not all snowfalls produce good snowflake, but once in a while you get just the right one... Macro photos of snowflakes in the winter and of tiny flowers in the summer. Photos may be cropped versions of the originals, but none of them has been digitally retouched.
