Alberta is a province of good hard working people. The last couple of years have been particularly tough for many of us because of the downturn in oil prices. During this time lay offs and uncertainty things like carbon taxes and equalization payments and increased taxes are the last thing most Albertans are looking to take on. We don't need constant recognition for our contributions, but we do deserve respect from a country we have been the economic engine for over the last 3 decades.
