For 10 years, I've built a popular Teacher / School Line on my Zazzle sharonrhea store. I am so proud and appreciative to know schools around the world are now home for my products. After earning my AFA from Sullins (a college for women in Virginia), and my BFA from The Univ. of Arizona, I took a position with one of the two largest greeting card and gift manufacturers. I worked on the Ziggy Line, later ran my family's chain of card and gift shops, and later earned my MAT in one year to teach. I only did it as a challenge to see if I'd be one of the 24 accepted out of thousands applying. So, I taught. It was a 25 year whirlwind of more graduate degrees, earning the NBPTS Certificate, classes of 34 students (as demanded by students and their parents), and proudly seeing my students win the top district awards yearly for so many years I doubt the record will ever be broken. I recall my Father saying (when I griped about "the job") that I was "where I belonged" - that I made a difference in the lives of my students. I hope so. I KNOW they made a difference in my life. I can NEVER DISAGREE with the fact that I absolutely loved, respected, and learned so much from all my students. I loved working with / teaching all my students. I believe that carries into my teacher products here, and I hope you enjoy them (what works for you / appeals to students). If you are a teacher, you know that it's so much more than the average job. Families trust you daily to teach and protect their most precious blessings: their children. YOU make a profound difference in lives - even those who don't want you to know. Thank you for teaching.
