I'm a Ovarian Cancer survivor of 4 years. I found the process of surgery and recovery very difficult, and I had support! In Las Vegas NV there is only 1 house that offers families of patients lodging, and the patient has to be a juvenile, and they do not allow animals to come. I want to open a house that will offer Ovarian & Uterine Cancer patients, family & pets a place to stay during surgery & treatment. I saw many woman from different parts of the state in the waiting room at the Womens Cancer Center, endlessly waiting, sometimes up to 5 hours to see the doctor. It is my wish to eliminate stress and hardship for patients and families, so they can begin the healing process. All proceeds will go directly to the Teal Tribe Home. I have just been diagnost with Uterine Cancer. I will be having surgery 8/31/2011.
