The Pastiche Boutique

A pastiche is an incongruous combination of materials, forms, motifs, etc., taken from different sources; a hodgepodge really. In the art world, a pastiche is a work of visual art that imitates the style or character of the work of one or more other artists. Unlike parody, pastiche celebrates, rather than mocks, the work it imitates. My designs here stem from "found art"; either public domain material or works I've licensed to use. In most cases I have re-worked, re-cycled, re-imagined them; in other cases I may have left them as the original artist created them. In all cases, the overall design created with these pieces is entirely mine.
