I’m Tristan — a conservation biologist, published botanical illustrator, and mixed‑media artist. My work is shaped by years spent studying wild places and documenting the intricate beauty of plants and animals for books and magazines. Each artwork begins with traditional materials: watercolor washes, acrylic textures, colored‑pencil details, and hand‑drawn sketches. I paint and draw the elements individually, then bring them into the digital realm to compose the final piece. This hybrid process allows me to honor the warmth of handmade art while shaping a polished, harmonious composition that feels intentional and serene.
