Karen started drawing sport fish when she started her own business in 1998, trying to be different in what was known as a man's domain she created fish art with a humorous twist, this is evident in many of her pieces and designing apparel and accessories specifically for lady anglers. After many years, owning a couple different boutiques on Hatteras and Ocracoke islands North Carolina, she now creates art from her home on Ocracoke Island.
