Vintage 1914 Puck Magazine Cover Poster, Beach ポスター

This fun and colorful vintage print entitled, 'The Serenade' was painted by Brynolf Wennerberg for the June 20th issue of Puck Magazine in 1914. "Puck" was America's first successful humor magazine of colorful cartoons, caricatures and political satire of the issues of the day. It was published from 1871 until 1918. Brynolf Wennerberg (1866-1925) was a Swedish-German painter, draftsman and commercial artist. As a contributer to publications such as "The American Magazine" and "Puck" he gained international prominence for works that were sophisticated, witty and original. Wennerberg was well-known for his slender ladies and their shy smiles, dubbed the "Wennerberg smile", seen here in detail.
