I have been openly gay my whole life or at least from my age 18 ... over 52 years ago when I began writing my congressmen and senators to please support gay equality. I wrote open letters to our local newspaper forum. I wrote for a briefly existing local gay newspaper that was delivered across Illinois about 1996 at my age 44.
