Kitchen Full of Patriotic and Summer Fun

I have many wonderful memories as a child celebrating the 4th of July. Independence Day was something my family recognized as a special holiday to fully embrace with traditions, family events, community events, food and of course memory-making fun. Here are a few of the memories that inspired my patriotic design collection. My parents planted a yearly summer patriotic garden filled with red, white and blue petunias. We often participated in the town 4th of July Float Competition. Our friends and family walked in the local community 4th of July parade with patriotic clothing and decorated bikes. The parade would end at the local park where the kids received free treats like ice cream cups and caramel popcorn. We watched the annual 4th of July talent show in the community park and of course watched the amazing fireworks shows, complete with the old-style fireworks "ground show" and mandatory grand finale.
